Energy Balls in under 10 minutes

This makes a great pre-workout snack, or just when you are starting to feel hunger come on but its not time to eat yet. The dried fruit gives you short term energy, while then nuts pack the protein.
Mix whatever dried fruits you like(dried cranberries, dried blueberries, etc) with whatever nuts you prefer (almonds, walnuts) but always have the dates because they act as the adhesive between the two.

Best part:You can do it in under 10 min!

Step 1: Mix 2 cups trail mix with dried fruits and nuts (1 cup nuts:1 cup fruit ratio)
with 1 cup pitted dates

Step 2: Put in food processor OR chop and crush by hand

Step 3: Roll into balls

You've made yourself a healthy snack! You can roll them in cinnamon or sesame seeds.  Also you can try by adding in chocolate chips (kids would love that). Make sure to keep them in a cool spot when you finish making them so they keep together.
Keep in mind, 1 ball=40-50 calories.

Have fun!
